A load profile is an output from the capacity planning process. The profile is usually a time-phased bar chart, with each bar representing the future planned workload in a given timeframe.

The load profile typically compares period by period load against the capabilities of the work center being analyzed. This is usually accomplished by placing the rated or demonstrated capacity on the chart.
