crp is a time-phased capacity planning process used primarily to evaluate mrp plans.

The process utilizes the following inputs:

• mrp planned orders
• product routings
• work center data
• shop calendar

MRP order quantities are converted into standard hours of works. This is subsequently compared to available work center capacity to pinpoint over and under-loaded periods on all work centers.
